lady who we seldom ever see<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">Working her little heart out for the good of you and me<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">Tis Myrtle the grey Moth with her important nightly work<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">A covert unpaid gardener in the place she goes to lurk<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">Butterflies and bees are those that harvest the most praise<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">For pollinating flowers during hot and humid days<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">But Myrtle works her nightshift most efficiently in fact<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">Working through the garden with most credible impact<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">The bats are out to eat her so she uses camouflage<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">Together with her rather anxious mothy entourage<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">Sporadically she looks around between the twilight flowers<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">To possibly break ranks and spend more stimulating hours<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">She can hear the bats approaching; her instincts on alert<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">They are known to eat her species &#8211; it\u2019s a risk she must avert<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">You\u2019ve left your window open and it entices her inside<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">She flaps inside to save her life, eventually her pride<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">Your drawer, jam-packed with knitwear plus a very hungry moth<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">Will cause you almost certainly considerable wrath<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">It&#8217;s the inconspicuous Myrtle, who with clandestine delight<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">Invades your cherished cashmere undetected in the night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">She&#8217;s not deliberately out to spoil your most prestigious piece<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">She just requires a cosy spot to chomp away in peace<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">It seems a safe location to plant her eggs with no more fear<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">You\u2019re unaware of this incursion till much later in the year<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">As winter comes, our host extracts her woollies from the drawer<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">Her cashmere sports a handsome hole, she throws it on the floor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">Our Myrtle has been busy and her family was too<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">Her cashmere lies in ruins, and more eggs will soon ensue<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">With heavy heart she picks it up and bakes it in the stove<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">The safest place to kill the eggs and stop them on the rove<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">They won&#8217;t survive the ordeal and your lovely garment neither<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">But at least she won&#8217;t offload her countless children on you either<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">Her twilight visitation was her downfall, R I P<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">But at least the little minx had her \u2018Last Supper\u2019 peacefully.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:81px\" aria-hidden=\"true\"
